Four Palestinians killed, Israeli- Palestinian security meeting a failure

The Israeli- Palestinian security meeting which was held on Wednesday evening at the house of the American ambassador in Hertzelia in Tel Aviv failed to reach tangible results as Israel refused to alleviate the siege imposed on the Palestinians and stressed to continue the military campaigns and incursion operations into the Palestinian areas. Another security meeting between the two sides was approved to be held today morning.

Meantime, Channel II of the Israeli TV said that the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon will meet during this week with Palestinian figures in order to discuss security developments, while the Israeli internal security minister Ozi Landao called on Sharon to refuse meeting with any Palestinians, if the aim is to discuss political solutions for the current status between the two sides.

Meantime, the Israeli occupation forces continued their aggressions against the Palestinians while clashes continued between the forces and the Intifada youths.

Four Palestinians were shot by the bullets of the Israeli forces, three in Rafah near the borders with Egypt and the fourth was in Balata camp close to Nablus in the West Bank.

The Israeli occupation forces continued their provocation against the Palestinians on Wednesday in the West Bank and Gaza and inspected the passersby, women and children for long hours near a check- point installed by the Israeli army near the northern entrance of Ramullah.

In retaliation to the Israeli provocation, Palestinian threw bombs at members of the check- point and were able to flee.

The Israeli radio said that other Palestinians opened fire at a car of settlers to the west of Nablus.

Five Palestinians were wounded on Wednesday by bullets of the Israeli forces when the Israeli soldiers opened fire at the Palestinian citizens near Bawabat Salah Eddine at the border point between Egypt and the Palestinian territories.

Doctor Ali Mousa, the director of Abu Youssef al-Najjar said that the five Palestinians were hit by the Israeli bullets as they were leaving al-Nour mosque near the Gate ( Bawabat Salah eddine), adding that among the wounded is a youth at 14 year old by a bullet into his tummy. He is in a grave condition.

The general security directorate of the Palestinian authority in Gaza said that the Israeli forces opened its machine - guns fire at the houses of the Palestinian in the " Austrian " quarters in Khan Younis and this resulted in a fire targeted several cars and heavy damages in houses.

The Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday arrested Palestinians from al-Majd village, of al-Khalil district under the pretext that they found in their houses pieces of mortars shells and the Israeli forces also imposed curfew on Um al-Ajeen and Wadi al-Sanqa villages in Gaza.

In retaliation the Palestinian Intifada youths threw two mortars at a position for the Israeli amry in the industrial area at Nevet Dekalim settlement in Gaza.

Another Palestinian bomb was dropped at an Israeli military barrier to the south of Ramullah in the West Bank and also at a military car for the Israeli soldier in Sallat al-Daher village to the north of the West Bank was exposed to fire and heavy losses were inflicted.

The Israeli forces arrested two Palestinian youths near rabheem settlement to the north of Negev in the territories of 1948 and the Israeli radio said that two arrested Palestinians could penetrate into all barriers installed by the Israeli army in al-Negev area and arrived at the frontier of the said settlement.

The Israeli forces also arrested three Palestinians near Beit Laqia village in Ramullah under the charge of resisting the Israeli occupation. In Gaza, the Israeli forces opened fire at a car of four Palestinians and this resulted in wounding them and later arrested two of them.

Israeli workers attacked a Palestinian worker at a factory in Eitrout settlement to the north of Jerusalem and the Palestinian workers was able to kill one settlers among his attackers.

The Israeli Hebrew language radio said that the Israeli settler was killed immediately, while the Palestinian workers fled the site of the incident.
