Egypt to host soon international conference on energy

The fourth international conference on oil and natural gas agreements and arbitration in energy-related conflicts opens in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on March 9.
The two-day conference is organized by the World Bank in cooperation with Cairo Regional centre for International Trade Arbitration and the Ministry of Petroleum.
It will be inaugurated by petroleum minister Sameh Fahmy and attended by experts from the World Bank, the U.S., Britain, Italy and Egypt as well as several other Arab countries.
The conference will discuss international agreements on gas transfer and international pipelines networks, updating regional agreements on natural gas and financing and modernizing infrastructure of natural gas projects and modern ways of arbitration in energy-related disputes.
