Israeli president welcomes Crown Prince Abdullah initiative

The Israeli radio on Monday quoted the Israeli President Moshe Katsav as saying that he is ready to visit Saudi Arabia to welcome the initiative proposed by the Saudi crown prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz to solve the conflict the region, if an invitation will be extended to him.
Katsav stressed that the Saudi crown prince would have pushed forward his initiative if he would have debated it before the Israeli leaders.
Meantime, a statement issued by the court of the Israeli prime minister said that the Israeli president on Monday invited the Saudi crown prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz to visit occupied Jerusalem in order to debate the peace initiative he had proposed.
The statement added that the Israeli president who positively welcomed the initiative of the Saudi crown prince is ready to head immediately to al-Riyadh in case he is invited to meet with the Saudi leader in order to attain a progress in the Saudi peace "initiative."
