UN chief commends Saudi crown prince initiative

The Saudi crown prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz on Friday evening received a telephone call from the UN secretary general Kofi Annan. The Saudi news agency said that Annan praised the thoughts debated by the Saudi crown prince and his vision towards the peace process between the Palestinians and the Israelis at this " crucial time in which violence in the region reached its utmost."
Annan expressed his hope that this would help seriously all sides to establish peace and stability in the region.
