King Mohammed amnesties 854 convicts

On the occasion of Aid Al-Fitr, which will be marked on Saturday in Morocco, King Mohammed VI has granted amnesty to a total of 854 persons.
Out of the 854 persons, 341 detainees were extended a total grace on the remaining of their prison terms, 429 prisoners had their prison terms reduced and the life imprisonment term of 2 prisoners was commuted to limited prison term.
Another 40 persons were pardoned from prison sentence to which they were sentenced while their fine was kept, 29 persons were exempt from paying the fine and 7 other persons were totally pardoned from serving the remaining prison sentence and 6 persons were exempted from serving the prison and fine sentences.
