Europe will not support a U.S. attack on Iraq

The French ambassador to the United States Ambassador Francois Bujon said Europe will not support U.S. military action against Iraq saying the US "would be on their own," a Washington Times report said today.

Even British Prime Minister Tony Blair, would not support the United States if it were to attack Iraq in the near future, he said, the report quoted.

Asked what conditions would have to be met for a European support to such acts against Iraq, Bujon said, "There may never be conditions for [Europe to support] attacking Iraq," the Washington Times reported
