Kuwait voices support for Saudi crown prince's initiative
Kuwait-Saudi Arabia, Politics, 2/22/2002

The Kuwaiti first deputy for the prime minister and the foreign minister Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad has announced his support for the initiative made by the Saudi crown prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz on "conditional" normalization with Israel.

In a statement to the Kuwaiti daily al-Rai al-Am, issued on Thursday Sheikh al-Sabah said that if Israel will implement all international resolutions issued by the international legitimacy and all agreements signed and agreed upon and also starts pulling out from all occupied Arab lands including Jerusalem, all Arab states will have "another view."

The Kuwaiti minister added that if Israel provides a satisfactory solution accepted by the neighboring states, "our view" will be that Kuwait will be one that of these countries if they agree on such a solution.
