Algerian president meets with parties secretaries

The Algerian President Abdul Aziz Butaflika on Wednesday started political consultations with the secretaries and heads of the Algerian parties, represented in the parliament on the forthcoming legislative and municipal elections.

In this context, the Algerian President met with Ahmad O Yahya, the secretary general of the Democratic National Coalition party and Mrs. Lisa Hanoun, the official spokeswoman for the Labor party.

The Algerian President had invited each of the National Liberation Front party, the Peace Society Movements, the al- Nahda movement, the National Reforms movement, the Socialist Forces Front and the Movement for Culture and Democracy, the Progressive Democratic party as well as the " liberals groups" for similar consultations.

Well-informed Algerian sources said that it is not ruled out that President Butaflika will invite the electoral commission following Eid al-Adha. SANA.
