Sheikh Sabah represents his country to Beirut Arab summit

A Kuwaiti official source said that the ruler of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al- al-Sabah has assigned the deputy premier and foreign minister Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah to represent Kuwait at the Arab summit to be held in March in Beirut.

The Kuwaiti minister of state for the Cabinet affairs Muhammad Deif Allah Sharar announced in conclusion of the weekly meeting of the Kuwaiti Cabinet that Sheikh Jaber "has assigned the first deputy for the prime minister, foreign minister Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad to preside over the Kuwaiti delegation to the forthcoming Arab summit."

In statement broadcast by the Kuwaiti news agency, Sharar explained that the council "was briefed on the reply message" sent by the ruler of Kuwait to the Lebanese President Emil Lahoud" implying acceptance of the invitation addressed to him to participate at the summit." The rotating Arab summit will be held in Beirut on March 27th.
