Turkish minister and Iraq
Iraq-Turkey, Politics, 2/20/2002
The Turkish minister of the economy Kamal Darwish has ruled out a military intervention against Iraq in the near future, noting that finding out a solution for the Iraqi problem, rather than resorting to the war, is in the interest of Turkey, the country which neighbors Iraq.
Darwish added in a press statement on Tuesday that in case that any negative matter occurs in regard to Iraq, Turkey's economic program will be secure regarding tourism and exports.
