Saudi embassy in Kabul re-opened
Saudi Arabia-Afghanistan, Politics, 2/19/2002
The Saudi embassy in Kabul on Monday re-opened its embassy in Kabul following five months of closure following the attacks which targeted the US in September, 2001.
News reports said that the Saudi ambassador in Pakistan Ali Bun Awadh al-Oseiri voiced his country's support to Afghanistan during a celebration attended by the Afghani foreign minister Abdullah Abdullah, and the minister of the interior Younis Qanouni.
Al-Oseiri on Sunday met the President of the Afghani provisional administration Hameed Karazai who asked him to expel three Afghans he accused of killing the Afghani minister of civil aviation Abdul Rahman, last Thursday at Kabul airport.
