Al-Assad gets a telephone call from Aznar

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad on Saturday received a telephone call from the Spanish prime minister Jose Maria Aznar during which discussions dealt with conditions in the occupied Arab territories. Al-Assad explained in this regard that the situation is bad and no serious act has been so far made to find out means conducive to halting the acts of killing against the Palestinians.
Discussions also dealt with the question of the Euro- Mediterranean partnership and means of eliminating obstacles impeding signing the Association agreement between Syria and the EU.
