Saudi Arabia prepared to receive one million pilgrims

Two million Muslims will stand after one week at Arafat mount to perform the main part of al-Haj for this year, after the specialized Saudi authorities has prepared all possibilities for smooth performance of this religious duty.

The Saudi minister of the interior has taken all measures to maintain the security and safety of the pilgrims. The authorities all installed tens of thousands of anti- fire camps to prevent the eruption of fires in Mouna area where the pilgrims stay for three days after descending from Arafat Mount and al-Muzdalifa with the sunset of the day of standing on Arafat mount.

Saudi specialized ministries have provided the needs of the pilgrims of medicines, vaccines, waters and foodstuffs and the Saudi ministry of the information started to broadcast radio programs addressed to Mecca and al-Madina al-Munawara in 8 languages.

Number of pilgrims who arrived in Mecca and other openings in Saudi Arabia until Thursday reached 1.03 million including 20,000 Syrian pilgrims, 18,000 Iraqi pilgrims, the Indonesians represent the great share of 17.16 %.
