Israeli army commander killed in incursion operation north Toulkarem

The Israeli F-16 warplanes on Friday evening bombarded Jabalia camp to the north of Gaza and the bombardment resulted in destroying the headquarters of the Palestinian security leadership and wounding 30 Palestinians including five members of the security department.

Lt. Abdul Salaam Younis was shot and eyewitnesses said that several missiles were dropped on the camp and this resulted in heavy damages in the houses and the breaking of telephone and electricity networking.

As the Israeli forces continued their incursion and demolishing houses in Gaza, the Israeli army officer Lt. Col. Eyal Wize, commander of one Israeli units was killed during an incursion for the Israeli forces in Saeeda village to the north of Toulkarem in the West Bank. Al-Quds groups, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement claimed responsibility for his killing noting he was killed in clashes with its resistance fighters.

Meantime, a mortar shell was dropped on Friday at a position for the Israeli army near Natsareim settlement in Gaza and Ghelo settlement to the south of Jerusalem was exposed to a fire from Beit Jala and this resulted in damaging two flats in two flats.

One explosive went off on Friday near an Israeli armored vehicle in al-Khuder village of Bethlehem district in Bethlehem.

Meanwhile, groups of Ezz Eddine al-Qassam of the Palestinian national resistance Hamas called on the Palestinian Authority to release all militants including "Adnan al-Ghoul," the engineer of al-Qassam missiles, who is held together with other colleagues by the Palestinian Authority security department.

For his part, the army general in the reserve forces Yusi Beleid, former leader of the military area of the north of Israel said commenting on the Israeli tank which was destroyed on Thursday by the Palestinians saying that" it seems that a new kind explosives that we do not know of was used in this attack."

News reports said that the tactic which was used in the attack on the Israeli tank raises the concern of the Israeli army staff because it recalls the tactics already used by the Lebanese national resistance against the Israelis in south Lebanon, as despite of the tank's metallic armored shields, the Palestinian resistance men attacked it by an explosive of 100 Kg weight and made a hole in it at a diameter of 1.5 meters.
