Jordanian army chief inspected Jordanian force in Afghanistan

The chief of staff of the Jordanian army Lt. Gen. Muhammad Youssef Malakawi on Friday inspected the Jordanian force taking part in the UN force in Afghanistan which has been positioned at Qandahar airport to the southern East of Afghanistan.
News reports said that Malakawi who arrived on Thursday evening to Qandahar inspected the base which includes some 4,000 men and will be meeting with the commander of the forces, the American Colonel Franc Wertinshski.
Then Malakawi will move to Mazar al-Sharif in the north of Afghanistan where the Jordanian forces have a field hospital.
On the other hand a source in Amman announced that the Jordanian forces in Afghanistan are taking part in humanitarian missions, rather than battles.
