Al-Assad receives speaker of Yemeni parliament

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad on Thursday received at the Damascus al-Shaab palace the speaker of the Yemeni Parliament Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hussein al-Ahmar and members of the accompanying delegation. Discussions dealt with the relations between the two states and means of strengthening them at the parliamentary level as well as conditions in the region and the world and the need of revitalizing Arab solidarity in the current critical conditions.
The meeting was attended by the Speaker of the Syrian parliament Abdul Qader Qaddoura and the Yemeni charge de affairs in Damascus.
