Temmar: Algeria has decided to join Arab states free trade zone

"Algeria has taken the decision to adopt a convention for the development of trade exchanges between the Arab countries which constitute the legal platform of the executive program of the great zone of free-exchange in course five years ago," trade minister M. Abdelhamid Temmar announced, the Algerian news agency announced today.

This decision was taken Wednesday at the headquarter of the Arab League.

"Now, that the social situation has improved thanks to the reforms launched in the past, I officially announce that the Algerian government has given its accord to take the necessary dispositions for the adoption of the convention for the development of trade exchanges."

Three Arab states, Algeria, the Comoro Islands and Djibouti have not yet joined the Arab Free Trade Zone agreement.
