Some 40 pilgrims from the Emirates killed in a coach accident

Some 40 pilgrims were killed, most of them are of the Pakistani nationality when a truck collided with a coach carrying 60 pilgrims coming from the United Arab Emirates at al-Bathaa border point to the east of Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi news agency said that the accident took place on Wednesday at dawn and resulted in burning the coach and the killing of 40 passengers, 37 of them are of a Pakistani nationality, one Syria, one Saudi and a third is an Egyptian.

The accident also resulted in wounding other 10 passengers to a hospital at al-Hafouf area to the east of Saudi Arabia. Only 12 passengers escaped the collision.
