Somalia, Politics, 2/14/2002
At least six persons were killed and other 9 were wounded following clashes erupted between competing Somali factions in south Somalia
News reports quoted eye- witnesses as saying that the clashes erupted on Tuesday evening between hundreds of supporters of Jouba Fali alliance which is pro the Somali government and armed men backing the leaders of the opposition groups known as "the council for re- reconciliation in Somalia in Bardira town," situated to the west of the capital Makadishu.
No news were reported on clashes on Wednesday in Bardira but the situation is tense because there are rumors that the armed opposition groups are reorganizing their lines to launch another attack at the said town.
