King Mohammed receives Thai premier
Morocco-Thailand, Politics, 2/13/2002

Morocco's King Mohammed VI received at his residence in Bangkok Wednesday, Thai Prime Minister, Thaksin Shinawatra. The Thai Premier was accompanied by minister of foreign affairs, the secretary general and the assistant secretary general of the Prime Minister's office, the director general of the Middle East, Africa, and Northern Asia, and the spokesman for the Thai government.

The audience was attended on the Moroccan side by minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Mohamed Benaissa, advisor to the king, Abdelaziz Meziane Belfqih, director of the royal office, Mohamed Rochdi Chraibi, and Morocco's ambassador to Bangkok, Samir Aror.

The sovereign had arrived in Bangkok Tuesday afternoon on a private visit to Thailand, coming from Hong Kong, and received later in the evening the Crown Prince of Thailand, Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn.

The sovereign's private visit to Thailand comes after the official visit to China February 4-10.
