Jordanian Islamic Labor Front party denies contacts with western sides
Jordan, Politics, 2/13/2002
The Islamic labor front party in Jordan has denied to have had made any contacts between its leadership and western security sides at the arrangements by the Jordanian foreign ministry and stressed that this is groundless, rather falls in the framework of a campaign targeting the Islamic movement which started since several years and escalated following the incidents of September 11 with the US.
In a press statement on Tuesday, the party said that it is committed to the principles it had announced since its foundation to the rights of the nation and its higher interests, and public matters and that it will not practice policies behind close- door, rather its doors are open widely before the people of the nation.
Worthy mentioning that one of the Jordanian weekly issued last week a report on meetings held by leaderships at the Islamic labor front with American security officials in Amman, arranged and prepared by the Jordanian foreign ministry.
