On possibilities of striking Iraq

European diplomatic sources in Brussels told the Kuwaiti daily al-Seyasah published on Monday quoting a high ranking official at the US administration that the US president informed his aides that the British prime minister gave moral support to strike Iraq and that they had discussed the possibility of bringing in other European allies to its side.

President Bush explained to his aides that the European Union member states are split into three categories, which are that of Germany which still does not agree to topple the regime of Saddam Hussein and calls for a political solution for the return back of the UN inspectors; the French category where voices are becoming strong to strike Iraq following the differences with Baghdad which refuses the return back of the UN inspectors and the third is the category of the European states which are still watching preparations of the American military campaign and when these countries would have realized that the preparations are completed to strike Saddam Hussein they will jump to the American ship before its arrival into the Iraqi shores.
