Sudan's al-Bashir stresses Khartoum's backing to Morocco's territorial integrity
Sudan-Morocco, Politics, 2/11/2002

Omar Hassan Al-Bashir, President of Sudan, has expressed his country's full backing to Morocco's territorial integrity.

"Sudan is strongly opposed to any attempt to harm Morocco's territorial integrity and remains firmly attached to the excellent ties binding Rabat and Khartoum," Al-Bashir said at a meeting over the weekend in Khartoum with speaker of the Moroccan house of representatives, Abdelouahed Radi.

Touching on the promotion of Moroccan-Sudanese ties, Al-Bashir urged Moroccan businessmen to invest in his country, especially in agriculture. He said, in this connection, that his government is ready to grant Moroccan operators all facilities.

Radi visited Khartoum where he represented Morocco in the meetings of the Arab Parliamentary Union.
