Two Israeli soldiers killed, 7 wounded in attack against Israeli base

Two Palestinian youths on Sunday attacked an Israeli military base in Beer al-Sabaa and killed two Israeli soldiers and wounding seven, two of them in critical health conditions.

The Israeli sources said that the base is the headquarters of the air base of the Israeli army and that the executors of the attack were shot by the soldiers at the base.

Meantime, Palestinian Intifada youths attacked positions for the Israeli army near the settlements of Ganital, Nevet Dekalim and Ghoushe Katieve and fired mortars shells at Israeli targets to the East of Gaza while other detonated explosives in Israeli vehicles and near the military barriers in al-Tibeh district near Toulkarem.

The Israeli tanks had bombarded the Palestinian Authority headquarters and houses in Khan Younis and Rafah and the Israeli F16 planes bombarded the headquarters of the Palestinian security leadership and this resulted in destroying it and in wounding 8 Palestinians. Armored Israeli forces incurred for two Kilometers to the ear of Jabalia camp and opened intensive fire at Palestinian positions and install new barriers to enforce division of Gaza.

Palestinian sources said the Israeli army closed the two cross-road of Abu Houli in Deir al-Balah and al-Matahin in Khan Younis and this act prevented the Palestinians from returning back to their homes.

In the West Bank, the Israeli forces continued cordoning Tammoun town and arrested tens of Palestinian youths from it and from a camp near Nablus, while the Israeli tanks and bulldozers broke into Nablus city and incurred for 500 meters in the people's residences.

A spokesman for the Israeli invading army said that several quarters in Nablus were mopped up, three were arrested and other seven wounded during the strong confrontation took place in the city during the breaking in operations.

Meanwhile, the inspector of the Israeli police Shloumo Aharonski said that this period of time is considered the most difficult Israel has witnessed since 1948 because of the uprising. He said that the Palestinian operations tolled 1800 including 90 in Jerusalem and that the number of the Israelis killed in these operations is 208.

Nathan Sheranski, the Israeli minister of settlements disclosed a new schemes his ministry started several days ago to expand "Ma'ale Adomim" settlement and that the necessary lands were confiscated for that purpose.
