Sharon called for the release of Pollard

The Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon has asked the US President George Bush to release the Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard, held in the American jail.
The Israeli radio said that Sharon proposed this request during his meeting at the White House on Friday with Bush, as he called on the US administration to release Pollard who was sentenced to life imprisonment under the charge of spying for Israel.
