Al-Baz welcomes the French ideas on halting the Israeli aggression against the Palestinians

Osama al-Baz, the political advisor for the Egyptian president has welcomed the French ideas to halt the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people. He said that there are in these ideas many positive points to halt deterioration in the occupied Palestinian territories and to restore back to it security and stability.

In a statement to the Orient (al-Sharq) Radio on Sunday, al-Baz stressed that the relations linking the Middle East to Europe are very special on the ground that Europe is the closest to the Middle East and the two sides are linked by strategic historical and geographical ties that make of Europe more affected by the ME issues.

Al-Baz indicated that it is wrong to lay blame on the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat instead of thinking of basics and grounds of the ME peace process and returning back to its basic principles.
