E.U. trade commissioner starts Middle East tour

European trade commissioner Pascal Lamy starts this Friday an official visit to Lebanon as part of a tour that already took him to Syria, before heading to Jordan. Talks will cover Lebanon's role in E.U-Mediterranean partnership which was launched by the Barcelona conference in 1995.
The talks will also discuss Lebanon application to join the world trade organization (WTO), the statement said.
