Regional-China, Religion, 2/8/2002
The visit of King Mohammed VI to China is a moral backing to all Chinese Muslims, said Imam of the Niujie mosque in Beijing, Sheikh Haj Brahim. Sheikh Brahim described the royal visit as an outstanding event that reflects the solicitude the sovereign, Commander of the Faithful, extends to all Muslims throughout the world.
Sheikh Ibrahim's remarks came in a statement to the Moroccan TV channel RTM, after the sovereign's visit to the Niujie mosque Thursday.
