Lahoud: Israel revenges Lebanon by campaigning lies about terrorist bases

Lebanon has once again refuted on Thursday claims on the existence of terrorist bases on its territories and regretted that several American officials have adopted false Israeli stories on this matter.

During his meeting on Thursday with several members of Lebanese parliament, the Lebanese President Emil Lahoud said that the Israeli media campaigns against Lebanon are but another aggression against Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity, noting that the "media reports which are published regularly in several world mass media controlled by world Zionism on the existence of alleged bases for terrorists in certain Lebanese areas are but of one source, namely Israel."

The Lebanese president regretted that certain American officials adopted the Israeli stories despite the fact that the US administration knows, especially through reports of its diplomatic missions and the countries of the region and the satellites that these are mere misleading lies. The Lebanese president said that Lebanon was among the vanguard states which prevented the extension of the terrorist organizations on its territories and that there is no one training camp nor military bases for any armed organizations in Lebanon.
