Al-Qaddafi confers with Qatar's foreign minister

Libyan President Muammar al-Qaddafi on Thursday in Tripoli received the Qatari foreign minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasem Bin jaber al-Thani, on the occasion of convening the first meeting of the Libyan- Qatari joint committee on economic cooperation.

The Qatari minister conveyed to al-Qaddafi a message from the ruler of Qatar dealt with "the terrorism imposed on the Palestinian people and the Palestinian President Yasser Arafat by the Israeli forces."

Together with the Libyan African unity affairs Ali Abdul Salaam al-Tureiki, the Qatari foreign minister presides works of the first session of the joint committee. Al-Tureiki said that "cooperation between his country and Qatar has actually started through the fund established to support several Arab states including Comoros."

He indicated that similar funds will be established in regard to Sudan or other Arab states, including Somalia, in particular.
