Moussa urges U.S. to adopt fair, impartial role in Middle East

Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa urged the US to adopt the role of a fair and impartial mediator in the efforts exerted to ease tension and violence in the Middle East. Moussa said the U.S. diversion from this role would have negative consequences on the future of efforts aimed at ending the Arab-Israeli conflict and the establishment of peace.
At a meeting he held in Washington with representatives of Arab communities and American Arab Organizations, Moussa said it was time for an American move to implement the vision of US President George W. Bush of a Palestinian State that would coexist side by side with Israel.
