A new Sudanese strategy to achieve peace
Sudan, Politics, 2/7/2002
The Sudanese government has laid a new strategy to achieve peace from the inside the country and to make constitutional and legislative amendments to attain a just division of the wealth, the authority and political pluralism, in commitment to the decentralized presidency.
The advisor for the President of Sudan for peace affairs Ghazi Salah Eddine said in a statement to the Sudanese daily al-Ayam issued on Wednesday that the plan of the new strategy which was laid by the peace consulate did not include the issue of self-determination, and because of that, the government is committed to it in the constitution.
Salah Eddibe said that the government wants to proceed into the road of peace "from the inside."
