Palestine-Israel, Politics, 2/6/2002

Israeli tanks and bulldozers on Tuesday incurred into Deir al-Balah area and bombarded and destroyed Palestinian properties, while an escorting Israeli force arrested three Palestinian youths under the pretext that they are wanted by Israel.

Amid these atmospheres, the Israeli forces intensified their patrols in the West Bank especially in the surrounding of Nablus and Ramullah, Jenin, and Toulkarem and confiscated houses in Raas Karkar and al-Janeyah villages and converted them into military barracks.

News reports said the Israeli forces blocked all openings leading to Nablus and completely isolated it from their surrounding, while several Israeli ministers called for continuing Israeli bombardment and destruction of the Palestinian Authority areas and leaders of the Israeli settlers called for the expulsion of Yasser Arafat.
