Saudi Arabia will take all necessary measures for illegal use of charity aids
Saudi Arabia, Politics, 2/6/2002

Saudi Arabia has stressed it will take all necessary measures to prevent illegal charity aids in line with the UN Security Council calling for international cooperation to fighting terrorism and means of financing it.

An official Saudi source said in a statement on Tuesday that the government of Saudi Arabia, feeling its humanitarian and Islamic role provided for the continued charity and humanitarian work is completely careful not to use this money in the improper field "and we will work all our efforts to prevent use of charity societies funds for improper objectives."

This Saudi position comes in comment to what was stated that there is a relation for certain members of branches and offices that belong to certain Saudi charity societies which have activities outside Saudi Arabia, and the nature of these activities are stated in the UN resolutions.
