Holding ICAO Forum in Cairo indicates Egypt's security and stability

Ibrahim El-Demeiry, Transport Minister, and Asa'ad Koteit, Chairman of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) opened yesterday a forum on "Management of Technical Cooperation projects in Africa and Middle East" held at the Conference Hall of the Civil Aviation's the Holding Company.
El-Demeiry stressed that ICAO's choice of Egypt to hold this meeting, especially after the events and consequences of September 11 indicates that Egypt is the country of peace, security.
Demeiry added that a protocol of technical cooperation with ICAO was concluded to furnish the technical advice and prepare the specifications of advanced apparatus and equipment required for the airports and air navigation systems so as to upgrade them in comformity with international standards.
Demeiry stressed the importance of ICAO in developing the civil aviation on all international, regional and local levels.
