Mrs. Mubarak: women work side by side with men to make the hopes of a bright future come true
Egypt-Regional, Culture, 2/4/2002

Egypt's First Lady Suzanne Mubarak, Chairperson of the Arab women's summit, said "the authentic values of Arabism and the promising dreams of progress are the common denominator that brings us together in the women and media forum with our strong will to upgrade the reality of Arab women at all levels and change them into creative energies working side by side with men to make the hopes of a bright future come true".

In an address before the inaugural session of the women and media forum, which is convened according to resolutions of the Arab women's summit in Cairo, Mrs. Mubarak cherished the positive spirit that resulted from the Arab women's summit resolutions.

She said the forums held previously provided a democratic dialogue among the various trends and contributed to deepening dialogue among the participants.

Mrs. Mubarak extended greetings to the struggling Palestinian women in their tough ordeal. She noted this forum offered a chance for Arab women to express support for their Palestinian sisters who give the most precious sacrifices in order to restore the rights and liberate the lands.

On the other hand, Sheikha Fatma Bent Mubarak, wife of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan al-Nahyan, hosted a luncheon on Saturday at al Musharraf palace in honor of Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak.
