People's Front For the Liberation of Palestine pulls out from PLO
Palestine, Politics, 2/4/2002

The second official at the people's front for the liberation of Palestine Abdul Rahim Mallouh has announced his withdrawal from the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, who used to be one of its key members, in protest of arresting the front's secretary general Ahmad Saadat.

In a press conference he held in the West Bank on Saturday, Mallouh set a precondition to release Ahmad Saadat in order to return back the People's Front to take part in the PLO executive committee.

Mallous, the representative of the People's Front in the PLO executive committee, which runs the PLO stressed that keeping the secretary general of the People's Front For the Liberation of Palestine under arrest is considered a violation to the Palestinian democracy.
