Egyptian delegation in Ethiopia to discuss the use of Nile waters

An Egyptian parliamentary delegation composed on seven members of parliament is currently visiting Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa to discuss issues relating to the implementation of cooperation projects on the use of the Nile waters with the Ethiopian authorities.

News reports quoted the chairman of the irrigation and agriculture committee at the Egyptian Shoura Council Ibrahim Saad as saying in a statement issued by the Ethiopian state run Ethiopian Herald on Saturday that the agreements reached by the two countries on the eastern basin of the Nile has reached the phase of implementation.

Worthy mentioning that Ethiopia, Egypt and Sudan share cooperation projects to develop the waters of the Nile. These projects are stated in a special work program on the eastern Nile basins. They are expected to be financed by international donors.
