Algerian, Venezuelan joint committee

The minutes of meetings of works of the first joint Algerian- Venezuelan committee and the framework agreement which defines bilateral cooperation in the areas of energy, mines, trade, the media and culture were signed in Algiers on Saturday.

The minute of meeting was signed by the Algerian minister of energy and mines and his Venezuelan counterpart Selvie Kalderon.

In a speech he delivered, Khalil said that the results of this session perpetuates actual implementation of the cooperation agreement signed between the two countries since 17 years and opens a new page of the effective economic relations at the level of the political relations between the leaderships of the two countries and their common ambitions towards this progress.

The Venezuelan minister, on the other hand, said that this session helped to amend to adapt the legislative framework of the joint committee in compliance with the developments and reforms valid in the two countries.

On the other hand, and on the sideline of meetings of the session, the Algerian news agency and the Venezuelan news agency also signed a cooperation agreement states to exchange information and expertise in the area of press and technology.

On the Algerian side, the agreement was signed by the agency's director general Naser Mahal and by his Venezuelan counterpart. Deliberations of this session started on Wednesday in Algiers.
