Israeli fears of a rebellion inside the Israeli army

The rejection of Israeli soldiers and army officers to perform services in the Palestinian territories have raised the fears of several Israeli leaderships which find in that a grave phenomenon that might lead to a rebellion movement inside the Israeli army, and differences increased between those Israeli army officers and soldiers and the Israeli army chief of Staff Shaoul Mofaz.
In a statement, quoted by the Israeli radio on Friday Mofaz expressed his fears that political sides are behind the "petition" signed by army officers and soldiers expressing their rejection to serve in the Palestinian territories.
Mofaz added, he will, together with higher military references will take measures against those who signed the petition, adding he on Wednesday evening arrested temporarily many of them because they refused to serve in the occupied Palestinian areas.
