On Aziz's short visit to Moscow
Iraq-Russia, Politics, 2/2/2002
The Russian daily Komir Saint said on Friday that the Iraqi deputy prime minister Tareq Aziz has shortened his visit to Moscow and left it on Thursday because he did not find an understanding in Moscow and because his request to meet with the Russian foreign minister Igor Ivanov was rejected.
The paper indicated that Russia gave an explanation that as far as Baghdad has not maintained a flexible position concerning the issue of the return of the international observers to Iraq there is nothing to talk with.
