Al-Azhar Sheikh, Canterbury bishop sign an agreement on Christian- Islamic dialogue

The chairman of the British Anglican church archbishop of Canterbury and al-Azhar Imam on Wednesday in London signed an agreement aims at developing the dialogue between Muslims and Christians.

The agreement calls for understanding and establishing peace relations between the two religions. Archbishop Cary said that discussions on this statement ended on September 11 at his residence in Lambirth palace in London where the signing ceremony was signed.

He added that it is a turning point that this work in the afternoon of September 11, directly after news came from New York and Washington which stressed to the extent friendship and understanding are necessary " which we reached." Al-Azhar Imam called on people of all their communities to " keep side by side in touch of peace and the reality."
