Iran says US is the greatest evil

Iran said that the US is the greatest evil responding to US George Bush's recent comments at the State Of The Union Address where he said "Iran aggressively pursues these weapons and exports terror, while an unelected few repress the Iranian people's hope for freedom. ... States like these, and their terrorist allies, constitute an axis of evil, arming to threaten the peace of the world."

Iran's Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei Thursday denounced US President George W Bush's statements and said that Washington itself was 'the greatest evil'.

"The American president threatens some countries and nations and accuses them of being evil, while most of terrors, opposition to popular movements, support for unpopular regimes, sales of lethal weapons and plundering the wealth of other nations in recent years have all been carried out by America," he said, IRNA reported.

"The American government's statements seemed to be coming from a person thirsty for human blood," Ayatollah Khamenei said, adding, "The Islamic Republic of Iran is proud of having come under the rage and wrath of the greatest Satans." IRNA said.
