Mrs Mubarak in UAE to address women, media roles
Regional-United Arab Emirates, Culture, 1/31/2002

Mrs Suzanne Mubarak flies to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) today leading Egypt's delegation to an Arab women's forum, which opens in Abu Dhabi on Saturday. The two-day forum will address the image of women in the media and the media's role in upgrading the status of women in the Arab world.

It complements decisions taken during the Summit for Arab Women held in Cairo in November 2000.

Delegations from 21 countries will participate in the forum, which aims at establishing a code of ethics for Arab media in regards to women's issues.
