Rumsfeld recommends to minimize the American forces in Sinai

An official at the US defense department announced on Wednesday announced that the US defense secretary Doland Rumsfeld has recommended the White House and the State Department to reduce number of the US forces working within the multi-national peace keeping forces in Sinai.
News reports quoted the official which refused to be identified that Rumsfeld wants to reduce the number of the American troopers there from 900 to 26.
The reports added that the US complete withdrawal from the peace keeping forces working in Sinai needs the consent of both Egypt and Israel, according to the Camp David agreement signed between the two sides in 1978.
