Jordanian King to convey a very strong Arab message to Washington

The Saudi daily al-Watan said in its January 28, issue that the Arab states are intending to send a very tough message to the US stating that its interests in the Arab states is vulnerable if the Israeli attacks against the Palestinians is not stopped.
The paper quoted a high ranking Jordanian source as saying that the Jordanian King who visited Saudi Arabia will convey a message to the US President George Bush when he will be visiting Washington this week.
The paper quoted the Jordanian source as saying that King Abdullah will convey " an Arab message, and in particular a Saudi message stating that the US interests and relations with the Arab states is vulnerable if Washington will not halt the Israeli terrorism conducted policy in the region." The paper continued that in their talks in Riyadh, the two leaders, the Jordanian and the Saudi agreed on the need to make joint efforts in order to end the sufferings of the Palestinian people and to lift the siege from its leaderships.
King Abdullah paid a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia and he will be meeting with Bush on tomorrow. The Jordanian Monarch headed the recent Arab summit which was held in Amman in 2001. Since December, 2001, the chairman of the Palestinian authority Yasser Arafat is not able to leave his office in Ramullah, the west bank as he is cordoned by the Israeli tanks following the series of the Palestinian attacks inside Israel.
The Jordanian foreign minister Marwan al-Ma'shar said that the Jordanian King intends to explain to George Bush the dangers of talking about the suspension of the peace process or contacts with the Palestinian Authority. Saudi Arabia has repeatedly urged Bush to pressure Israel to halt the acts of violence against the Palestinians.
