Moussa's tour during which he visits Austria, the USA

The secretary general of the Arab League AL Amr Moussa held talks on Wednesday with the UN secretary general Kofi Annan in Austria, Vienna which he had arrived on Tuesday evening.

Moussa's talks with Annan dealt with the deteriorated conditions in the Palestinian territories in light of the Israeli escalation against the unarmed Palestinians and the continued Israeli siege against the Palestinians and means of ensuring international protection for the Palestinians and working to lift the siege on the moves of the chairman of the Palestinian authority yasser Arafat.

Moussa will also discuss with Annan conditions in the Arab region and the Iraqi- Kuwaiti case and stressed opposition to any attack against Iraq and the Arabs rejection of such an unjustified act ( of striking Iraq).

Well-informed Arab sources said that Mousa will head today for the US in a visit which will continue until February 8 during which he will take part in several activities and will deliver four lectures on the relations between the Arab states and the Americans.

Moussa will be also holding a tour to Washington and will meet with several American officials to discuss Arab conditions, the peace process and the Iraqi file.
