Arab interior ministers start conference in Beirut

The Arab home ministers started in Beirut Tuesday the 19th session of their council to debate issues pertaining to struggle against terrorism, drug trafficking and organized crime. The session is to adopt a common Arab strategy on inter-Arab cooperation on these issues.
The support to be extended to the Palestinian police is on the agenda of this 19th session that will equally look into the secretariat general's report on 2001 activities, and in a report on the achievement of the Naief Arab academy of science and security.
Other issues on the agenda deal with road security, criminals extradition, environment security and civilians rescue operations.
