Lahoud confers with Syrian minister of the interior

The Syrian minister of the Interior Ali Hammoud has conveyed greetings of President Bashar al-Assad to the Lebanese President Emil Lahoud during their meeting on Monday in Beirut.
The Lebanese president asked Hammoud to convey reply greetings to President al-Assad coupled with best wishes of successes of the Arab ministers of the interior held today in Beirut.
The two sides discussed issues of concern to Syria and Lebanon and reviewed current conditions in the region in light of the recent developments and the existing coordination between the two ministries of the Interior in Syria and Lebanon.
A similar meeting was also held between the Syrian minister and the Lebanese prime minister Rafiq al-Hariri.
