Iraqi minister describes results of his talks in Iran as positive

The Iraqi foreign minister Naji Sabri al-Hadithi has described the results of his talks with the Iranian President Muhammad Khatami and with the Iranian foreign minister Kamal Kharazi as very positive and successful.

Al-Hadithi said on Monday during his meeting with the assistant governor of Kharasan that Iraq and Iran can strengthen their cooperation and coordination towards current international issues and that the Iraqi and Iranian peoples expect the officials to forget the past and to work for developing joint work gradually.

Al-Hadidti announced that direct flights will be run very soon directly between Ian and Iraq to facilitate the transport of visitors and pilgrims to the holy sites.
